Windows
SLIDING WINDOWS
Suitable for almost every opening, sliding aluminium windows offer a practical and cost effective way of updating your windows. Commonly used to replace timber casement windows, they are easy to use and offer all types of screen options. Rollers that feature stainless steel ball bearings mean these windows will roll smoothly for years.
DOUBLE HUNG WINDOWS
Double hung windows are ideal for tall narrow openings, these windows have two panels that slide up and down, rather than side to side. Often used in bathrooms with frosted glass, you can position the panels so the opening is at the top giving you privacy, while still allowing fresh air into the room.
LOUVRE WINDOWS
Louvre windows have changed a great deal since they first started being used. All the disadvantages have been addressed and they are now a popular option to get the most ventilation possible. Also suited to tall narrow openings, new louvres windows can be locked, they don’t allow rain or drafts in when they are shut, they’re smooth to operate and easy to keep clean. If they are low to the ground we supply them with safety glass. We can also effectively screen them without limiting their operation.
CASEMENT AND AWNING WINDOWS
These ‘push out’ style windows can be either hinged at the top (awning windows) or hinged on the side (casement window). Awning windows allow the window to remain open even in light rain, while casement windows can be positioned into the prevailing breeze directing maximum air flow into the home. Both can use a simple handle with friction stays, or a chain winder set up to give you full control.
WINDOW UNITS
Window units are commonly used when the opening is too large for a conventional window, but a door is not suitable. Window units typically have a sliding window positioned on top of a fixed panel. Ideal for garage conversions, we can remove the existing garage door and fit a window unit. We recommend safety glass in the lower fixed panel, which can also have frosted glass for added privacy.
Doors
GLASS SLIDING DOORS
Modern glass sliding doors can be either two or four panels. Ideally suited to almost any opening size they are easy to use and cost effective. We can supply all types of screening and a number of different lock options. Glass sliding doors are ideal for converting a garage into living space. They give you plenty of natural light and breeze, as well as easy access in and out.
STACKER DOORS
Stacker doors are similar to standard glass sliding doors, but give you more of an opening for the same size door. Typically made up of three panels, one will be fixed while the other two ‘stack’ behind it to give you a greater opening. Stacker doors are also suited to very wide openings with three, five and six panel configurations available. Stacker doors offer a good alternative to Bi fold doors because they can be fitted with fly screens, security screens or crimsafe screens and do not require a structural beam in the head of the opening.
FRENCH DOORS
French doors offer a simple way to upgrade your existing hinged doors. Available in one or two panels, they can also be fitted with side lights. These allow French doors to be fitted to almost any width opening. Using top quality locks and hinges these doors will operate smoothly for years. Depending on the application, screening options are available.
SLIDING WARDROBE DOORS
The easy way to update the look of your bedroom, sliding wardrobe doors come in a huge variety of frames colours and door finishes. We can remove hinged doors and fit sliding wardrobe doors, giving you more space in the room. We use safety mirrors in our doors for added peace of mind.
